Great Helm

My Pembridge Great Helm

The great helm was for battle.  Until the late 14th Century, it was worn over a cervelliere or bascinet.  Mine is patterned after the great helm of Sir Richard Pembridge, who fought in the battle of Crecy.  It is made of 12 gauge steel, and weighs ??? pounds.

Sir Richard's helm is on display at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
