Folding SCA War Cart

At Pennsic and other medievalist "wars," the camp site is sometimes very large.  Since the whole point is to keep modern autos parked out of sight, this means carrying loads of heavy armor and such for what seems like miles.  An SCA member called the Honourable Sergeant Avery Austringer built this spiffy wooden cart to haul armor, equipment, and even injured men.  It's more of a theatrical prop than a recreation of an authentic vehicle, but it works and looks good.

The only improvement I could think of would be to make it fold up so that I could pack it in my van.  If you've looked at any of my other patterns, such as the chest, bench, or table you will notice that I like to work with plywood.

So, here is my pattern for a folding Avery-style cart, made from two sheets of plywood.
